The students call me “Mr. Rob” and I am very happy to be teaching 7th and 8th grade mathematics and science at Francine Delany New School for Children. I began teaching in Decatur, Georgia and have been with FDNSC since 2006. Prior to teaching, I was a computer systems analyst for Bank America Corporation in Atlanta, Georgia.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Masters of Mathematics Education from Georgia State.
I believe in teaching a “problem centered” mathematics curriculum. We all use math every day.
