2011 Information Meeting Dates Set!!

Francine Delany New School for Children begins the enrollment process each February for the following school year.  Any parent wishing to enroll a student at Francine Delany is asked to attend an information meeting to learn about our philosophy, goverance and expectations for parents, students and teachers.  Information meetings for the 2011-2012 school year will be held Thursday, February 3, 2011 and Thursday, March 3, 2011.  Both nights will begin with an open house from 6:00-6:30 and then the meeting will be 6:30-7:30.  If you are unable to attend a scheduled meeting please call Nancy to schedule a tour at 828-236-9441 ext 0. 

After families attend an information meeting or visit the school, they are given an application that must be returned via US mail.  All applications received by the March 31st, 2010 deadline will be placed into the lottery to be held at the school. 

The lottery will held Monday, April 12th at 3pm due to Spring Break.  The lottery determines the order in which students will be enrolled for each grade level or placed on the waiting list if space is not available.  Applications received after the lottery will placed on the waiting list in order they are received.  Each year we enroll 16 kindergarteners. Other space in the school is determined by slots opened up by students transferring to another school.
