Application Information for New Students |

Francine Delany New School for Children begins the enrollment process each February for the following school year. Any parent wishing to enroll a student at Francine Delany is highly encouraged to attend an information meeting or schedule a tour to learn about our philosophy, goverance and expectations for parents, students and teachers. Information meetings for the2012-2013 school year will be held Thursday, February 2, 2012 and Thursday, March 1, 2012. Both nights will begin with an open house from 6:00-6:30 and then the meeting will be 6:30-7:30. If you are unable to attend a scheduled meeting please call Nancy to schedule a tour at 828-236-9441 ext 236.
After families attend an information meeting or visit the school, they are given an application. The application deadline is March 31, 2012.
The lottery determines the order in which students will be enrolled for each grade level or placed on the waiting list if space is not available. Applications received after the lottery will placed on the waiting list in order they are received. Each year we enroll at least 16 kindergarteners. Other space in the school is determined by slots opened up by students transferring to another school.
